Corporate purpose:
To provide information and publicity for the public transport services offered in the metropolitan area of Barcelona, basically by telephone (direct or via the Internet). Citizens can obtain information on buses, underground, tramway, Generalitat-owned and RENFE railways and taxi services, including combinations, timetables, rates and journey times. Direct telephone and e-mail services are also available to handle complaints about public transport. These complaints are recorded and passed on via the Internet to TMB, EMT and the Metropolitan Taxi Institute.
The promotion of metropolitan public transport in co-operation with other bodies and companies, involving basically the provision of information and experience in various tasks, such as:

· Updating and publishing the Metropolitan Transport Guide.
· Signposting on the above ground metropolitan public transport network in the EMT area, on the basis of maps. |
Creation and upkeep of document archives on metropolitan transport. These are updated daily and processed by computer to provide the technical support needed by the direct telephone and Internet metropolitan transport information lines. They also form the basis for the publication of guides, plans and this Web Site.
