Who can benefit from this?

Anyone meeting the following three requirements:

  1. Registered as a resident of a municipality in the EMT area.

  2. Over 65 years old (62 in Barcelona, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Sant Adrià del Besòs, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Montgat i Tiana, Esplugues de Llobregat, Badalona) or registered as at least 33% handicapped and holding an ICASS Handicap Certificate.

  3. Total income from all sources (pension, aid, rent, etc.) less than twice the statutory minimum wage.
What options are there?

  • The Metropolitan Pink Card in Barcelona and the Metropolitan Pink Season Ticket in the other EMT municipalities, which entitle holders to use day-time EMT public transport free of charge, with no limits as to time or number of journeys.

    These are available to persons who meet the above conditions and whose income from all sources is less than the statutory minimum wage.

  • The reduced rate Metropolitan Pink Card in Barcelona and the Carnet Groc Metropolità in the other EMT municipalities, which entitle holders to a reduction of around 50% in fares on day-time EMT public transport via the purchase of special T4 multi-journey tickets and others.

    These are available to persons who meet the above conditions and whose income from all sources is between one and two times the statutory minimum wage.
How can I apply for a Metropolitan Pink Card or Ticket?

These tickets can be requested at your Town Hall: just fill in the relevant form and, if you are disabled, attach the ICASS certificate.

This certificate may be obtained from your local Disabled Care Centre.
